Here at Red TX HQ, we're a modest bunch when it comes to our skills. For the most part, we just like to see, or hear, a job done to the best possible standard, so it's nice when your industry peers give you the thumbs-up.

Awards

Tim swapped his more customary jeans for a tuxedo to collect the Royal Television Society Craft and Design Award for Best Sound for Culture and Non Drama Productions for BBC2's classical drama, The Marriage of Figaro. The award went to Tim and John Middleton for the production, part of the BBC Music Live five-day festival last summer.

The opera was staged at Kirtlington Manor in Oxfordshire, and Tim was drafted in to handle the broadcast sound and to record the production, created for TV in association with the City of Birmingham Touring Opera and directed by Trevor Hampton and Matthew Richardson.

It was fitting then that Ollie said he was chuffed at winning the award for Best Live Album or DVD at the first Music Producer's Guild Awards. Ollie received the accolade for his mixing work on the Girls Aloud Live DVD Tangled Up, which the team recorded at the O2 Arena last year. Ollie went along to the Café de Paris with Girls Aloud MD Joseph Ross to pick up their shiny gold microphone awards.
